Andrew Sjoblom
Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel | Children’s Miracle Network
What does success look like to you?
My view of success has definitely changed over the course of my career. At the beginning of my career, I viewed success as becoming a great legal advisor and advocate, making partner, and building a practice. All of those are worthwhile goals, and I am grateful for all of the legal experience I gained prior to moving in-house. And now, I get tremendous satisfaction from working for a mission-driven organization, raising needed funds for children’s hospitals across the country, and success means helping it continue to grow and have a greater impact.
What challenges have you overcome to get here today?
As an executive, I have been responsible for our organization’s IT department and am currently responsible for legal and human resources. Lawyers are not always viewed immediately as potential business leaders, and it was a challenge to learn new areas of the business and gain the trust of leaders who then allowed me to lead other functions within the organization. I have been grateful for those opportunities.
What future endeavors are you looking forward to?
My organization has recently completed a brand refresh and is embarking on an effort to raise public awareness of our brand and mission. That work has been exciting and I look forward to continuing to support it.
