What is one thing you’re most proud of accomplishing at work in the past year or in your overall career?

I am proud of shifting the tourism narrative from short-term promotion to a generational investment. This past year, that philosophy was put into practice as we navigated the October government shutdown. By fostering deep collaboration between federal partners, non-profits, and state entities, we preserved our parks, maintained the visitor experience, and ensured that Utah communities and businesses that rely on national park visitation were supported. This achievement also served as a powerful proof of concept for how intentional, long-term planning creates lasting stability.

What principle or habit has most influenced your professional success?

Ask good questions, build relationships. Play the long game — relationships and trust compound. I don’t claim to have all the answers myself, but I do have an incredible network of mentors and colleagues who pick up the phone and are willing to help open doors, find solutions and collaborate.
