What is one thing you’re most proud of accomplishing at work in the past year or in your overall career?

I’m most proud of leading with kindness and never losing that North Star. Throughout my career, I’ve centered my leadership on service, asking in every room and every decision, “What’s the kindest thing to do?” In environments where efficiency and outcomes often dominate, I work to keep humanity at the core, remembering that leadership is ultimately about serving others and acting for something bigger than ourselves.

What is the most rewarding thing about your job industry?

I became a lawyer to serve and to create positive change. Working in higher education allows me to protect both people and access to education, work that has ripple effects for generations and helps strengthen Utah as a whole. The mission of Salt Lake Community College is especially meaningful. It’s about opening doors and expanding opportunities for everyone, particularly where access has not always been guaranteed. Contributing to that work is one of the most rewarding ways I know to help build a stronger, more equitable future for all of us.
