ST. GEORGE, Utah — Intermountain Health St. George Regional Hospital has been named the No. 1 Best Hospital in Utah by U.S. News & World Report in its 2026-27 Best Hospitals rankings and ratings.
The recognition places St. George Regional Hospital among the nation’s top-performing hospitals and reflects its longstanding commitment to delivering exceptional care to patients across Southern Utah and the surrounding region.
The hospital was rated for its strong performance in 18 adult procedures and conditions, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, back surgery (spinal fusion), colon cancer surgery and ear, nose and throat surgery. Additionally, 92% of patients said they would recommend the hospital to others, reflecting strong performance in patient experience and quality of care.

According to U.S. News & World Report, more than 4,400 hospitals were evaluated for this year’s rankings, with only 505 hospitals earning recognition as Best Regional Hospitals across 49 states and the District of Columbia.
