RIVERDALE, Utah — Expanding their Weber County presence and adding a new manufacturer to their network, the Young Automotive Group acquired Ken Garff Nissan Riverdale in Utah.
“This is an announcement we’ve looked forward to making for a long time,” said Spencer Young Jr., president of the Young Automotive Group. “We’re not only thrilled to be working with an incredible new team at a great facility, but to begin a partnership with a quality manufacturer in Nissan. Our organization is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience to a new audience, and we’re excited for this franchise’s future.”
Executives at the Young Automotive Group plan to rename the franchise Young Nissan, and appoint Brad Taylor as general manager. During the transition period, the location will remain open at standard business hours.
In an effort to reintroduce the dealership to the community, the Young Automotive Group will host a grand opening celebration later this year, which will feature speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and refreshments. Those in attendance will be invited to tour the facility, as well as interact with the franchise’s new leadership team.
“The Young Automotive Group is an organization that values strong community connections, so engaging with this area early is a priority for us,” said Taylor. “Franchises like Young Subaru and Young Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram have become staple forces for both quality service and philanthropy in this area, and we plan to add to that strong reputation that’s been developed on Riverdale Road.”
An organization founded in Morgan, Utah in 1924, the Young Automotive Group’s new Nissan location will be their eleventh dealership in Weber County. For over thirty years, the company has been recognized in the area for their business and community efforts — earning a Large Business of the Year award from the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce in 2019.
“We’re celebrating more than just an acquisition with this move,” said Taylor. “With any addition, our team receives opportunities to work with new talent and engage with new customers. Our focus has always been on people, and we’re excited to bring our commitments to our employees and customers to this community.”
