SALT LAKE CITY — Rug Lounge SLC (located in the Central 9th area: 955 E 900 S Suite B Salt Lake City, UT 84102) is excited to open its doors to the community. Their mission is to create a comfortable, welcoming space where people can try something new, get creative, and walk away with a high-quality rug that lasts. The finished piece can be used as a rug, displayed as wall art, or even styled as a unique home accent under plants or candles. Beginners welcome!
As Salt Lake City’s first tufting studio, Rug Lounge SLC will host daily workshops for all who want to come and craft, plus private events for businesses, parties, and special occasions! Classes are kept intentionally small; each class hosts 12 people maximum, and no experience is required - guests get to choose their own design, learn how to tuft, and leave Rug Lounge that same day with their very own custom creation. Every rug is made using premium New Zealand wool, hand-dyed in the US.
“We can’t wait to see what people will make in our space!” says Linda Matson, Co-Owner of Rug Lounge SLC. “We want this to feel like a neighborhood spot.” Davis Matson, husband and Co-Owner, adds: “This is the first of its kind here in Salt Lake City, and our goal is to keep growing by inviting as many people as possible to try it - we’re excited to bring some new energy to the community we love!”
