ST. GEORGE, Utah — Hammer & Nails, the elevated grooming experience built for modern men, is expanding its national footprint with the opening of its first St. George, Utah, location in the Washington Fields shopping center. Located at 2836 East Mall Drive, the new shop introduces the brand’s premium, design-forward grooming services to a rapidly growing Southern Utah market.

The St. George location is owned by Robert Kidd and his wife Emily Kidd, with minority ownership from their daughter Sami and her husband Coby Vandertoolen, making the business a true family venture. This marks the Kidd family’s first Hammer & Nails franchise and first business ownership.

“We’re excited to bring Hammer & Nails to St. George and introduce a grooming experience that’s intentionally built for men,” said Robert Kidd, franchise owner of Hammer & Nails St. George. “This community is growing quickly, and there’s a real opportunity here to offer something different, a place where men can prioritize self-care in a comfortable, masculine environment.”

The shop spans approximately 2,000 square feet and is situated in Washington Fields, a booming growth area anchored by a Lin’s grocery store. The location was selected for its strong community presence, accessibility, and alignment with the Hammer & Nails brand experience.

The St. George shop will offer precision haircuts, beard grooming, classic hand and foot care, and the brand’s signature whiskey-infused foot treatment. Services are available à la carte or through a membership model designed to support consistent grooming and wellness routines. The shop employs approximately 20 team members, including Artists such as barbers, cosmetologists, and nail technicians and Member Concierges.

“Destigmatizing self-care for men is what excites me most about this brand,” Kidd added. “There are services especially hand and foot care that men often overlook. Hammer & Nails makes those services approachable, enjoyable, and something you look forward to.”

Kidd and his wife currently reside in Reno, Nevada, where they have lived for 14 years, and were first introduced to Hammer & Nails through a friend who owns a franchise in the area. Kidd became a founding member at the Summit location in Reno and remains an active member today. The idea to bring the concept to St. George emerged after a family visit to the Reno shop, where the experience immediately resonated with his son-in-law and highlighted a strong need in the Southern Utah market.

The St. George Hammer & Nails location is a member of the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce and plans to become an active participant in the local business community. While this is the family’s first location, the ownership group has plans to open a second Hammer & Nails location in the St. George area in the future.

Hammer & Nails St. George is open Monday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. For more information, visit hammerandnailsstgeorge.com, call 435-215-4460 or follow on Facebook and Instagram.
