SALT LAKE CITY — Goldman Sachs announced 31 Community Development grant recipients, over half of which located in Utah, ranging from $25K to over $1M for a total of nearly $3M deployed to nonprofits in Utah. Through more than 50 meetings with nonprofit partners, Goldman Sachs heard an urgent need for trust-based, multi-year, general operating grants. These organizations were selected based on how they are helping to address critical needs throughout the state across affordable housing, community services, small business development and neighborhood revitalization and evaluated based on criteria including innovation, impact and scalability.

“Strong communities are the foundation for growth and we’re confident that this funding can help advance economic opportunity and mobility in Utah,” said Asahi Pompey, President of the Goldman Sachs Foundation and Chair of the Urban Investment Group. “We look forward to helping these organizations scale and create an even larger impact where it’s most needed.”
