SALT LAKE CITY — On Monday, Nov. 18, Utah Hockey Club announced their 2024-25 practice jersey patch partnership with Ski Utah, a 501(c)6 non-profit organization that promotes Utah’s 15 ski and snowboard resorts and The Greatest Snow on Earth®. The Ski Utah patch appears on all Utah Hockey Club practice jerseys exclusively during the team’s inaugural season.

“We are thrilled about this partnership with Ski Utah that is a celebration of the state’s adventurous spirit and will bring two passionate, winter sports communities together this season,” said Chris Barney, president of revenue and commercial strategy at Smith Entertainment Group. “ By proudly featuring Ski Utah’s logo on our practice jerseys, we are showcasing the vibrancy of winter sports in the state and connecting fans with the unique energy that makes Utah a premier destination.”

Founded in 1975, originally called the Utah Ski Association, Ski Utah has become the primary voice of Utah’s ski industry – inspiring locals and visitors alike to explore Utah’s mountains. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Ski Utah’s mission is anchored by four pillars: marketing, membership, community programs, and government relations. Through these pillars, Ski Utah advocates for the growth and sustainability of Utah’s ski industry and continues to foster a love of winter sports in communities across the state.

“Utah Hockey Club is pleased to feature the Ski Utah logo on our practice jerseys during this historic inaugural season,” said Chris Armstrong, president of hockey operations and alternate governor of Utah Hockey Club. “We take pride in representing an organization that is not only a part of the fabric of our community but also the richness of the sports culture and active lifestyle in Utah.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Utah Hockey Club in the team’s debut season and are excited to be able to offer some unique opportunities to Ski Utah Passport holders,” said Nathan Rafferty, president of Ski Utah. “Together we’re excited to celebrate the thrill of the game, the joy of Utah’s renowned slopes, and look forward to many “powder plays” to come.”

As part of the partnership Ski Utah will also offer Ski Utah Passport holders, which include 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students, the opportunity to attend a select Utah Hockey Club’s morning skate during the 2024-25 season at Delta Center. Fans who attend the morning skate will receive co-branded merchandise and a ticket voucher redeemable for two (2) upper-bowl single-goal view tickets to attend one of several select Utah Hockey Club games.
