Heather Garcia has been promoted to chief financial officer, where she previously served as controller and continues as managing director of administration. In this executive role, she will continue leading the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and reporting — while overseeing the finance and administration team.

As a nonprofit, disciplined financial management is critical to operating with transparency, allocating resources effectively, and scaling impact.

Heather’s impact since joining WTC Utah:

  1. Implemented a strategic, organization-wide budget process
  2. Strengthened financial and operational systems to support reporting, compliance, and organizational efficiency
  3. Developed key policies and processes to support long-term financial sustainability and strategic decision-making
