Bank of Utah announces the promotion of Kelly Hale to Senior Vice President (SVP), Business Development Team Lead. As Hale transitions into her new role, Jared Sellers has been appointed Commercial Lending Team Lead at the bank’s Orem branch.

In her new position, Hale will oversee and advance the bank’s business development strategy. She will work closely with the bank’s salesforce to identify growth opportunities, strengthen client relationships and support overall organizational expansion.

Hale brings four decades of banking experience, including 25 years with Bank of Utah. She began her career as a teller, serving in that role for 10 years before transitioning into commercial lending, where she has worked for more than 30 years. Hale has completed extensive college coursework and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School.

Sellers will assume leadership of the commercial lending team in Orem, ensuring seamless service and continuity for clients and team members. He has more than 20 years of commercial lending experience and eight years of management experience that he brings to Bank of Utah.

Sellers has extensive experience in commercial and business lending, including C&I, CRE and SBA 7(a) and 504 lending, managing loan requests up to $70 million. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and an MBA from Louisiana State University, Shreveport. He also completed formal credit training at JPMorgan Chase.
