One by one, business owners and entrepreneurs, brokers and agents, strap their golf bags onto the back of their electric carts, then pull around to the practice green at Stonebridge Golf Club, a 27-hole golf course in West Valley City that winds through the gleaming glass buildings of surrounding office parks.
Here, at the year’s first member-development event of the Networking Golf League, the brainchild of Hank Warner, you hear the chatter of greetings, of conversations to catch up after a winter apart and of introductions matching new names to new faces.
Back in 2017, Warner belonged to a business networking group that met in a boardroom, and he found himself gazing out windows.
“I thought, if I can do this same thing and have those two hours be spent on a golf course, I would love it a lot more,” Warner recalls, “and I’d actually get to know the people better because we spent two hours together.”
The league’s two divisions — the Northern and Salt Lake divisions — come together in Lehi for a big midsummer event at Thanksgiving Point Golf Club, regarded by many as Northern Utah’s premier destination for corporate and nonprofit events. Brett Johnson, head golf professional, says that during its peak months, May through September, Thanksgiving Point hosts three to four corporate tournaments weekly.
“Having a dedicated team ensures that every detail, from the first tee to the final meal, is executed seamlessly, allowing the hosts to focus on their guests and networking,” says Johnson.

The Barn Golf Club (Ogden): This fun, quirky golf course sits in the foothills of the Ben Lomond Peak. Its banquet facility and patio pavilion can host networking receptions.
Bountiful Ridge Golf Club (Bountiful): Gorgeous slopeside mountain setting with views of the Great Salt Lake and Salt Lake Valley. The Bountiful Ridge Café has a banquet room and catering options and is a budget alternative to courses with dedicated event staff.
Eaglewood Golf Course (North Salt Lake): Has a newly renovated event center with outdoor spaces and dedicated event staff that can handle groups of up to 200. The golf course, on a ridge overlooking Bountiful, is just a 15-minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City.
Fox Hollow Golf Club (American Fork): Specializes in business networking events, including the Utah Valley Women’s Business Network golf scramble, sponsored by the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce. It’s a tree-lined golf course known for its best-in-class practice facilities.
Glen Eagle Golf Club (Syracuse): A unique links-style course on the road to Antelope Island, inspired by Gleneagles Golf Course in Scotland. Its on-site wedding venue, The Aerie at Glen Eagle, is well-equipped to host large corporate events.
Hobble Creek Golf Course (Springville): One of Utah’s most beloved courses — especially in autumn when the colors in the canyon pop — Hobble Creek can help organize fundraising tournaments, industry association outings and team-building events.
The Oaks at Spanish Fork (Spanish Fork): This golf course recently opened a dedicated event center, which hosts banquets, corporate events and tournament gatherings. The course was designed by the late Billy Casper, the legendary golfer who lived in Utah and won 51 PGA Tour tournaments.
Sleepy Ridge Golf Course (Orem): A fun Scottish links-style golf course built on wetlands along Utah Lake with wide fairways, ideal for players of mixed skill levels. Its majestic clubhouse has multiple banquet rooms equipped for events large and small.
Soldier Hollow Golf Course (Midway): Both of its 18-hole courses rank among Golfweek’s top 10 Utah public-access courses ⎯ and it is a regular stop for Utah Golf Association (UGA) championships, including the 2026 Utah State Amateur. Its staff excels at hosting tournaments; in August alone, Soldier Hollow has tournaments for the Marriott Utah Business Council, the Utah Mining Association event and the Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Stonebridge Golf Club (West Valley City): Three nine-hole courses offer flexibility. Beware: 20 of the 27 holes designed by PGA Tour great Johnny Miller have water hazards, and there are more than 90 sand traps on the course. Dedicated staff specializes in planning corporate outings.
Thanksgiving Point Golf Club (Lehi): This course has it all: a scenic mountain course designed by Johnny Miller that Golfweek ranks as one of Utah’s top five public-access courses, a beautiful clubhouse, an experienced event staff and proximity to Silicon Slopes businesses. Named Best of State for event venue each of the past 14 years.
Valley View Golf Course (Layton): This championship-caliber municipal course has a banquet room for corporate events and electronic tournament scoring. Sets aside Monday mornings for corporate outings; by early May, all summer Corporate Morning slots were sold out.
Wasatch Mountain Golf Course (Midway): Like nearby Soldier Hollow, Wasatch has two stunning 18-hole courses above 6,000 feet and welcomes a steady stream of tournaments, corporate events and nonprofit fundraisers all summer.
Wolf Creek Resort (Eden): A 30-minute drive from downtown Ogden, this golf course offers stunning mountain scenery overlooking the Ogden Valley and Pineview Reservoir, and it is a frequent host of charity fundraisers. The Mountain View Room, which opens into an outdoor patio, seats up to 200.
