About Kimmy
Kimmy Paluch is a venture capitalist, entrepreneur and technology leader dedicated to helping overlooked founders build extraordinary companies. As co-founder and managing partner of Beta Boom, a Salt Lake City-based venture capital firm, she invests in early-stage startups solving real-world problems in industries like digital health, fintech and the future of work. Beta Boom has earned national recognition for its hands-on approach to supporting founders and its commitment to backing talent beyond traditional tech hubs and networks.
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Paluch studied computer science at Dartmouth College before building a career in Silicon Valley. She co-founded a product innovation firm and spent more than a decade helping companies develop new technologies and bring products to market before transitioning to venture capital. Her experience as both an operator and investor has shaped her belief that the best ideas often come from diverse perspectives and lived experiences.
