Salt Lake City– Dakota Pacific Real Estate announced today that industry veteran Timothy M. McEntee has joined the real estate investment, development and management firm as managing director, Multifamily Development.

McEntee will be responsible for continuing to build and lead the firm’s ground-up multifamily development program, which is focused on long-term-hold projects throughout key Intermountain West markets. With a new Denver office to complement the firm’s Salt Lake City headquarters, Dakota Pacific is strongly positioned to leverage its local market presence to generate compelling investment opportunities as it helps to facilitate responsible growth throughout the thriving region.

Prior to joining Dakota Pacific, McEntee was Managing Director and Partner for the Colorado, Utah, and Chicago operations of Wood Partners.  In this role, he provided leadership for the company’s significant expansion in metro Denver and into the new markets of Chicago and Salt Lake City.  During his time with Wood Partners, McEntee directly led the development and lease-up of over 4,500 units, totaling approximately $1.2 billion in project cost, and ranging from garden-style walk-ups to dense urban high rises.

Additional experience includes Controlling Principal of Hibernia Holdings, a Denver-based multifamily development, and JPI, where he completed the development of over 8,000 multifamily units in seven states with a market capitalization in excess of $1 billion.  McEntee began his multifamily career with Trammel Crow Residential.  He was inducted into the Apartment Association of Metro Denver Hall of Fame in 2017.

McEntee served eight years on active duty in the US Army, commanding Infantry and Special Forces units and attaining the rank of Captain.  A graduate of the University of Utah with a B.A. in History and a degree from the university’s Honors College, McEntee He also earned an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
