Second annual Utah Black Chamber Business Expo and Motown Concert set to empower Black-owned businesses and foster community growth

Salt Lake City—The Utah Black Chamber is proud to announce the highly anticipated second annual Black Chamber Business Expo, to be held on August 2nd at the renowned Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City. This year’s Expo, sponsored by WCF Insurance, Zions Bank, Tafi, The Utah Jazz, and several other esteemed partners, aims to support and empower small Black-owned businesses while fostering growth within the local community.

The Utah Black Chamber Business Expo is a premier platform that brings together entrepreneurs, business professionals, and community members to celebrate and showcase the remarkable achievements of Black-owned businesses in Utah. The event serves as a catalyst for networking, collaboration, and economic empowerment.

Highlighting the Expo’s entertainment lineup is the signature Motown Review, featuring the sensational talents of SLC’s very own Changing Lanes. Their captivating performance will transport attendees back in time, celebrating the iconic sounds of Motown and leaving them with unforgettable memories.

With an expected attendance of over 3,000 individuals, the Expo serves as a pivotal opportunity for businesses to position themselves at the heart of the community. Through interactive exhibits, engaging workshops, and informative panel discussions, attendees will gain valuable insights, forge meaningful connections, and discover new opportunities for business growth and success. Most uniquely, our corporate members will be in expo alongside our soloprenuers.

“The Utah Black Chamber Business Expo is a testament to the vibrant and thriving Black-owned business community in Utah,” said Dr. Sidni Shorter, President & CEO of the Utah Black Chamber. “We are thrilled to showcase the remarkable talent, innovation, and entrepreneurship of our members. This Expo provides a unique platform for businesses to establish themselves at the forefront of Utah’s economic ecosystem while demonstrating the value they bring to our community.”

The Utah Black Chamber extends its deepest gratitude to its sponsors, including WCF Insurance, Zions Bank, Tafi, The Utah Jazz, and other community-minded organizations, for their invaluable support in making this event possible. Their commitment to empowering Black-owned businesses aligns perfectly with the mission and vision of the Utah Black Chamber.
