What unique strengths do you bring to your professional and other roles?

One of my most unique strengths is that I’m a world-class connector and collector of people. I have a strong ability to find the best in the world at what they do, — but more importantly, people who are deeply kind, self-aware, generous and openhearted. I’m drawn to individuals who are other-centered, who lead with service and who are oriented toward long-term relationships built on trust and mutual respect.

I think where I’m especially strong is not just finding those people, but bringing them together and building meaningful, lasting relationships with them. I tend to assume the best in others, lead with generosity and create environments where people feel seen, valued and inspired to contribute at a high level.

What’s your next big goal or project in your professional journey?

Our next big goal is to raise $100 million for Harbor Fund, positioning us in the top 1% of independent film financing. We’re aiming to achieve this over the next two years. Having already raised $20 million in our first year and a half, we know it’s an ambitious target, but one we truly believe is within reach.

Up until recently, it was just myself and Mikenna as the only full-time operators, so building a formal team and now being in a position to scale is incredibly exciting. We feel a strong sense of momentum and are fully committed to reaching this next level of growth.

What key advice would you offer to other aspiring leaders?

Advice I would give to aspiring leaders is to become deeply aware of how common self-deception is. As human beings, we often tell ourselves subtle untruths about our relationships, the marketplace, our own character, and how we show up in the world. Developing real self-awareness and practicing radical honesty with yourself is foundational to effective leadership.

The ability to have hard conversations and take full accountability has been central to any success I’ve had the privilege of experiencing. And in the moments where I’ve fallen short, that same honesty, while often uncomfortable, has been what allows for growth and realignment.

At the end of the day, truth creates freedom.
