What has been a significant challenge you’ve faced? How did you overcome it?

We unexpectedly lost our CEO of Maverik just five months after completing a major acquisition. Our team came together with focus and resilience and successfully integrated the new company. The experience ultimately strengthened our collaboration and leadership, and we are stronger than ever as a team.

How do you define success for yourself and your company?

I define success as continuing to grow our company and profitability while providing a great place to work for our team members. At this point in my career, my personal measure of success is also reflected in the strength of the team I’m able to mentor, develop and help build for the future.

Describe the growth of your company in recent years. What other major achievements did the company accomplish under your leadership?

Over the past five years, Maverik has undergone one of the most significant growth periods in our company. We expanded our footprint to 850+ stores across 20 states, culminating in the successful acquisition and full integration of a company equal in size to Maverik at the time of purchase. In the two years following the acquisition, we completed 344 store rebrands across 12 states, fully unifying the network under our Maverik brand while continuing new-store growth. This scale-up was enabled through standardized systems and leadership models, along with a unified approach to foodservice and loyalty — supporting consistent execution and operational efficiency across the organization.
