What emerging market trends or disruptions are you preparing your company for?

By listening to our members, we are anticipating market shifts to reshape how business operates and helping companies navigate uncertainty and change. We know the business community functions as an interconnected ecosystem where businesses of all sizes matter, and where policy or economic pressures affecting one sector ripple across the region. Our focus includes workforce challenges, housing and childcare, transportation and transit, public safety, and practical, business-centered advocacy. We are also helping employers adopt technologies like AI, build strong multigenerational workplaces and address the growing hesitation to step into midlevel management. ChamberWest remains a steady, trusted voice that supports our businesses through challenge and opportunity.

How do you define success for yourself and your company?

I define success by the tangible outcomes experienced by our members and communities. It is reflected in businesses that are gaining access to critical resources and grants, connections that drive growth and career advancement, and shared expertise that strengthens organizations across our region.

By bringing business and civic leaders together, we amplify our collective voice and advocate effectively for the business community. That means addressing immediate challenges involving ordinances, regulations and legislative impacts, while advancing long-term priorities such as workforce development, education-to-career alignment, transit expansion and overall community well-being.

Ultimately, success means serving as a trusted conduit between business, civic leaders and policymakers by creating access, elevating voices, and celebrating the wins that result from strong relationships and purposeful engagement.

Describe the growth of your company in recent years. What other major achievements did the company accomplish under your leadership?

With the strong support of our board, staff and dedicated volunteers, ChamberWest has achieved nearly 400% revenue growth over the past decade, driven by sustained membership expansion and the strategic growth in programs and services.

During this period, the Chamber expanded from serving three communities to representing the business voice of West Valley City, West Jordan, Taylorsville, Kearns and Magna. West Jordan joined in 2019, followed by Magna in 2025, further strengthening both our regional footprint and our influence.

This year also marks our 65th anniversary as a chamber, a milestone that honors our roots as the Granger-Hunter Chamber of Commerce and serves as a powerful reminder of both our legacy and continued forward momentum.
