What are you most proud of in your career thus far?
I’m very proud that we pioneered a new market in a sophisticated and complex industry, making it accessible to everyday people. In high finance and private markets, launching your own investment fund (like private equity or venture capital) was typically only possible if you attended an Ivy League school or worked on Wall Street. We now have over 110,000 students worldwide, and over 3,000 clients who are getting the chance to do something they previously didn’t know was possible.
What advice do you have for other young professionals?
My advice: Intentionally increase your luck by launching and shipping lots of products — even if you have doubts or don’t think it’s “perfect” yet. Your first attempt likely won’t take off. But each attempt teaches you something, sharpens your skills and gives you another shot at success. Yes, luck plays a role, but those who stay in the game get far more exposure to it and significantly better odds of eventually breaking through.
