Kathleen Merkley

Kathleen Merkley leads a team of nurses utilizing healthcare analytics to enhance care across the U.S., Australia, Singapore and the U.K. With over 30 years as an emergency department nurse/clinical nurse specialist/nurse practitioner at Intermountain Healthcare, she has contributed significantly to healthcare innovations. Notably, she aided in a U.K. project analyzing COVID-19 patients’ airway care and developed a sepsis detection tool for a major U.S. academic medical center. Kathleen holds a bachelor’s in nursing and several advanced degrees, including a doctorate from the University of Utah. She is also adjunct faculty there and serves on the Emergency Department Benchmarking Alliance board.
