Over more than 20 years, Alex has worked in diverse food service roles, graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. His travels across South America and the U.S. enriched his appreciation for global cuisines and cultures. Initially starting his career in restaurants and resorts, Alex transitioned to healthcare food service over 15 years ago. As an award-winning executive chef and director, he joined Intermountain Health in 2019. There, he has partnered with leaders to implement new menus and service standards, rebranded Intermountain cafes, increased satisfaction scores, developed career pathways for culinary growth and promoted a culture of excellence in food service.
