Sarah Stone Ph.D. established Wonderbloom, Salt Lake City’s first nature-based preschool, in 2017. The school has been transforming early childhood education through immersive outdoor experiences ever since.
“I’m especially proud of founding Wonderbloom, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making nature-based early education accessible to all children,” she says. Sarah’s Ph.D. in early childhood development drives the school’s approach, which has earned raving reviews from parents who witness their children becoming happier, calmer and more content.
Her influence extends beyond Wonderbloom through service with O2 Utah, the Sundance Institute, The Wellness Farm and Green Urban Lunchbox.
“My current focus is on developing training courses for nature-based early childhood professionals, advancing research to strengthen the evidence behind this approach, and ensuring Wonderbloom’s long-term sustainability and expansion through new sites and services,” she says.
