Elizabeth Fauth Ph.D. leads Utah’s Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Research Center (ADRC) at Utah State University (USU), where she also serves as a professor in human development and family studies. With degrees from Syracuse University and The Pennsylvania State University, she specializes in reducing caregiver stress, addressing dementia behavior symptoms and developing mental health interventions.
In 2022, Elizabeth worked with Utah’s legislature to establish the ADRC, which has since allocated over $1 million to support 30 research projects across Utah’s universities. The center provides grants to researchers, develops supportive interventions, and offers education and clinical support to caregivers through their Dementia Caregiver Clinic.
Her community impact extends through the “Faces of Dementia” gallery project, showcasing black-and-white images and stories of dementia caregivers and their loved ones. She also serves on multiple boards including the Alzheimer’s Association Utah Chapter and Utah’s Commission on Aging and co-chairs the Utah’s Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias Coordinating Council.
