First order of business — who is AvidXchange? We’re pioneers too – in the accounts payable space. Back in 2000, we discovered a way to revolutionize the way companies pay their bills. More specifically, we automate invoice and payment processes for midmarket companies. We’re headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., yet have had an office in Utah since 2014, and are committed to continued growth in the area. Keep an eye out for the opening of our new campus in Sandy this year.

As you probably know, early settlers saw the honeybee symbol as one of hard work and industriousness. Like a beehive, all workers cooperated in the construction of something much bigger than themselves. Those two qualities are paramount at AvidXchange. By trade, we are a financial technology (fintech) company, but if you ask anyone that works here, they’ll tell you we are a people company. One of our core values is, “win as a team.” We pride ourselves on creating a work environment that facilitates personal growth, inspires innovation, and results in leading accounts payable (AP) and payment automation solutions for the midmarket. Just like Utah’s early settlers, we work hard, play to our strengths and buzz around (innovating) like a well-oiled machine. The Beehive state is also characterized by its Wasatch Range mountains, filled with ambitious hikers every day. There is something to be said about the thrill and excitement of being at the base of the mountain, gearing up for the hike, while feeling that fear and anxiety of the unknown bubble up through your body. What might happen one-quarter of the way there? What obstacles might I encounter? What will I do once I get to the top? But all the uncertainty quickly evaporates when your feet solidly plant atop the mountain. This rollercoaster of emotions describes our journey at AvidXchange and one I find exhilarating. We’ve received multiple accolades for our fast company growth through the years – none of which have come without hard work and perseverance. And, my sights are set on many more ascents.

Lastly, I can’t think of Utah without conjuring up an image in my head of the Great Salt Lake’s buoyant waters. Buoyant means able to rise to the top, as well as cheerful and optimistic – also an apt description of our team members and culture. We strive every day to make AvidXchange a fun place to work.
