How are you involved in changing the landscape of Utah’s business community in regard to inclusivity?

One of our key initiatives, which I’m involved in through the Native Coalition, is collaborating on SLCC’s first Native American tuition waiver. Known as “Scholars and Fellows,” this will enhance educational accessibility for Native American students. Additionally, as part of an institution that developed the faculty retention tool now known as REPresents, I am committed to supporting faculty — particularly those serving underrepresented and predominantly Latinx communities — to ensure their success and retention in higher education.

What organizations do you find most important to support?

Organizations that support students in ways we might not be able to are invaluable. For example, the Somos Foundation helps undocumented students when our funding isn’t available.
