How are you involved in changing the landscape of Utah’s business community in regard to inclusivity?

At V School, we are dedicated to flattening the playing field for anyone who wants to break into tech, meaning the opportunity is wide open for any human who wants to learn web development, UX design or cybersecurity. We have created a school that draws talent from all walks of life: females, LGBTQIA+, veterans, young and old, and people of color. I am very lucky to work for a company that is breaking down the barriers that have impeded talented humans from landing amazing careers in tech.

What do you most look forward to achieving?

I am going to do my best to be an example to anyone who has any doubts. I want to show women of color, single parents and females that anything is possible. With hard work, drive, supportive peers, mentors and the mindset to believe in yourself, anything is possible. I want others to make their dreams a reality no matter what neighborhood they grew up in, the color of their skin or the financial barriers.
