SelectHealth honors 20 Utah nonprofits

SALT LAKE CITY—October 25, 2022– SelectHealth is pleased to recognize 20 Utah organizations for their remarkable efforts to make Utah a healthier place to live. Each SelectHealth Awards winner will receive $3,000 and a marketing package to further their mission and work in their respective communities. SelectHealth received more than 200 submissions for the award, which is offered to organizations that are improving health or serving those with special needs.

“The SelectHealth Awards is designed to highlight the notable work and contributions of organizations that are making an incredible impact in our community,” said Marti Lolli, SelectHealth President and CEO. “These awards allow SelectHealth to continue to show support for key partners and organizations who have a shared mission and wake up every day thinking about how to make a difference in the communities we serve.”

The SelectHealth Awards winners were selected from across the state and represented a wide variety of causes including therapy and support services for children, programs that support recovery, training and educational needs, initiatives that assist individuals with special needs, and providing health and dental services.

2022 SelectHealth Awards Winners:


Box Elder Community Pantry (Brigham City)
 – A community partnership ensuring that no one in Box Elder County goes hungry.

Cache Employment & Training Center (Logan) – Provides services for individuals with disabilities in order to maximize their vocational and/or independent living skills.

Roads to Independence (Ogden) – Promotes and enhances independence for all people with disabilities.

Catholic Community Services of Utah (South Sale Lake City) –Practicing gospel values of love, compassion, and hope through service, support and collaboration.

Education for Generations (Bountiful) – Supporting underserved communities with health and educational needs.

Guadalupe Center Education Programs, Inc. DBA Guadalupe School (Salt Lake City) – Transforming lives through education with a focus on literacy to set the stage for them to have academic success.

Journey of Hope (Sandy) – Empowering women to embark on their own journey of hope by empowering the most marginalized women, girls, and LGBTW+ survivors who are at-risk for incarceration and further harm in Salt Lake County.

One Voice Recovery/Salt Lake Harm Reduction Project (Salt Lake City) – Empowering individuals and end stigmas regarding people who use drugs, people in recover, and those affected by HIV, viral hepatitis, and mental illness.

Project Reality (Salt Lake City) –Making recovery possible, so people suffering with addiction can go on to lead productive and meaningful lives.

Sego Lily Center for the Abused Deaf (Salt Lake City) – Promoting a safe and empowered community for Deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind people by providing culturally accessible services, advocacy, and education.

The INN Between (Salt Lake City) – Providing end-of-life and medical respite housing to terminally ill and medically frail homeless adults in medical crisis who would otherwise be suffering and dying on the streets.

Utah LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce (Salt Lake City) –Creating long lasting partnerships between key organizations and businesses, ensuring both growth and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community and allies in Utah.

Brades’ Place (Orem) – Offering specialized medical care for the whole child – mind, body, and soul – and supportive care for their family while living with serious illness.

Kids Cause (Springville) – Removing health and social barriers to education for all Utah County public school students.

Flourish Therapy Inc. (Holladay) – Expanding access to culturally competent, evidence-based mental health treatment for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Building Youth Around the World (Southern Utah) – Working to provide underprivileged and under-served children and their families the essentials they need to live and thrive.

Loving Angel Services Dogs (St. George) – Enhancing people’s lives by providing service dogs to those with mobility issues, PRSD, traumatic brain injuries, and autism.

Peace House (Park City) – Breaking the cycle of family violence and abuse in Summit and Wasatch counties through shelter, education, outreach, and support services.

The Hope Alliance (Park City) –Bringing vision care and eyeglasses to underserved people in Utah.

Utah Diaper Bank (Southeastern Utah) – Raising awareness of diaper needs in Utah, create diaper distribution networks and partnerships, and provide diapers to community service partners and families in need throughout the state.
