We’re drawing inspiration from the radical shift that happened in the 1990s from traditional to computer-based animation. The current state of the industry mirrors history as computers once again, take center stage.

Embracing the Past, Shaping the Future:
When the fear of job loss loomed large in the 1990’s, there was a wave of indie studios that rose up to the challenge. Today, as AI and it’s impact on the bottom line take center stage, similar concerns arise and history repeats itself. We’ll talk about how, as artists, innovators and technicians, we adapt, evolve, and forge ahead, together.

Key Highlights:
Renowned Keynote Speaker – Bob Camp: You can’t think of 90s cartoons and NOT think of Ren and Stimpy. It opened up the genre of adult animation to the mainstream and helped to herold in a new era for animation! We are THRILLED to announce Bob Camp co-creator of the iconic cartoon as our Keynote speaker, kicking off the event!

Live workshops: Mike Mattesi the developer of the FORCE drawing method will host 2 life drawing workshops, teaching how to use the FORCE method.

Tech demos: Stephen Candell of Studio Zubio in Sandy, UT will show emerging techniques in 3D.

Speakers and Panels: Our speakers represent over 200 years of collective knowledge on the animation industry! They’ve seen the good times and the bad and have rich insight into what we can expect for the future of animation.
