HIGHLAND, Utah — Pause Studio Highland, a modern wellness and recovery concept offering innovative, science-backed treatments, is expanding to Utah. Heber-based owners Ben Shih and Michele Ledoux will open Pause Studio Highland, the state’s first Pause Studio, at Highland Mains in mid-September. The studio will bring a variety of wellness, health, and recovery services together under one roof, offering the Highland, Alpine, and surrounding communities a convenient, individualized approach to supporting mind, body, and overall well-being.
Married for 23 years and parents of two daughters, Ben and Michele bring extensive hospitality experience to their new venture, including Michele’s more than 20 years as the owner of a catering business. Their interest in Pause grew from their own experiences seeking wellness and recovery treatments and recognizing how difficult it was to find everything they wanted in one place.
“We experienced firsthand how valuable these different recovery and wellness modalities are, but we were constantly going from one business to another to find them,” said Michele Ledoux. “Pause stood out because it brings everything together under one roof in a private, welcoming setting. It makes prioritizing your health and well-being easier, more efficient, and more accessible, and we’re excited to share that experience with this active community that prioritizes health and wellness.”
Pause Studio Highland will offer a wide range of innovative wellness and recovery treatments designed to support relaxation, recovery, and overall well-being. Services include:
- Contrast Therapy
- Infrared Saunas
- Customizable IV Therapy: IV Drips & Vitamin Shots
- Niagen NR & NAD+: focused on cellular repair and regenerative health
- Sensory Deprivation Float Therapy
- Medical-grade LED Light Therapy Beds
- Compression Therapy
Each service can be experienced individually or combined with complementary treatments, allowing guests to customize their experience based on their individual wellness and recovery goals. With a variety of modalities available under one roof, Pause offers a convenient, personalized approach to wellness and recovery, along with introductory pricing designed to make services more accessible.
For Ben and Michele, finding the right community is just as important as finding the right location. They were drawn to Highland and Alpine, where conversations with local developers, city leaders and community members continue to reinforce their decision to bring Pause Studio to the area.
“We were struck by how welcoming everyone is and by the pride people have in this community,” Michele said. “There is a strong focus on family, health and taking care of yourself and others, which felt very aligned with what Pause represents. The more people we met, the more Highland felt like the right place for us.”
The studio is located at Highland Mains, a growing retail development designed to bring thoughtfully selected dining, retail and service concepts to the area. Highland Mains’ focus on elevated offerings and creating a destination shaped around the needs of the surrounding community makes it a natural fit for Pause.
Designed with intention, Pause Studio offers a tranquil, inviting environment where guests can relax, rejuvenate, and restore mind and body. Modern wellness technology, personalized service, and complementary treatments create a distinctive experience that sets Pause apart from other service-based wellness studios. Services support a range of goals, from stress relief and relaxation to physical recovery, enhanced performance, and overall mental and physical well-being.
The grand opening celebration of Pause Studio Highland is expected to take place in mid-September, with additional details and opening events to be announced. Ahead of the opening, the studio is offering a 50% off pre-sale package, allowing the community to experience Pause’s approach to relaxation, recovery, and overall well-being at special introductory pricing.
Pause Studio Highland is located at 5378 West 11000 North, Unit 302, Highland, Utah. It’s the first of several Pause Studio locations Ben Shih and Michele Ledoux plan to open across the Wasatch Front and Wasatch Back.
