SANDY, Utah — The Larry H. Miller Utah Open returns to Riverside Country Club in Provo August 14–16 for the championship’s 100th year. The Larry H. Miller Utah Women’s Open will take place August 3–4 at TalonsCove Golf Club in Saratoga Springs. Together, the tournaments will bring top professional and amateur golfers from Utah and beyond to compete in two of the state’s premier golf championships. As title partner, the Larry H. Miller Company is helping honor and carry forward one of Utah’s most enduring sports traditions during its centennial year.

Admission to both tournaments is free and open to the public.

As the Utah Open celebrates 100 years of championship golf, it remains one of the longest-running and most prestigious golf tournaments in the United States. Since 1926, it has helped define championship golf in Utah and established itself as one of the state’s enduring sports traditions. The centennial championship reflects both the tournament’s legacy and the continued momentum behind the game in Utah.

Over its hundred years, some of Utah golf’s biggest names have earned the Utah Open champion title, including PGA of America and Utah Golf Hall of Fame member George Schneiter (1936, 1941, 1943), Billy Johnston (1954, 1960), Mike Malaska (1974), Jimmy Blair (1981), Mike Reid (1983, 1985), Jay Don Blake (1988), Bruce Summerhays (2008), and Zac Blair, son of Jimmy Blair (2023).

“The Utah Open is the best community golf event that happens annually in our great state. We bring over 1,000 golfers to play and participate in the Utah Open. The 2025 championships helped build momentum heading into this year’s tournaments. Kihei Akina won the Larry H. Miller Utah Open and became the youngest winner in tournament history, while Emilee Hoffman claimed the Larry H. Miller Utah Women’s Open.

The Utah Open’s history reflects more than championship golf. For over 20 years, the tournament has partnered with Special Olympics Utah on one of its most meaningful traditions: the Short Game Challenge, which brings Special Olympians together with Utah celebrity guests and community leaders. Ty Wardle, Miller Sports + Entertainment, and Amanda Covington, chief corporate affairs officer at the Larry H. Miller Company and executive director of Miller Family Philanthropy, are among this year’s guests. The event will again serve as the kickoff to this year’s Larry H. Miller Utah Open.
