HEBER CITY, Utah — Angstrom Development Group announced that construction has officially begun at The Slope, a new legacy alpine mountain village set in the heart of Heber Valley, Utah, along the scenic Provo River. A short drive from Deer Valley East Village and Park City, The Slope is designed as a year-round sanctuary where winter adventure gives way to summer splendor and nature’s rhythms create a deep sense of home. Developed by Angstrom Development Group, the project will introduce a legacy mountain destination anchored by Andaz Heber Valley, featuring 85 hotel rooms and 202 fully furnished, hotel-branded residences. Residences will include 140 townhome villas, which will break ground first, and 62 condominiums attached to the hotel, with each thoughtfully oriented to capture sweeping views, from evening sunsets behind Mount Timpanogos to daytime vistas of Deer Valley’s expanded terrain.

“The Slope represents a new architecture of well-being - one that brings together design, wellness, craftsmanship and daily ritual in a way that feels both elevated and personal,” said Neil Goldman, Managing Partner of Angstrom Development Group. “With this project, we saw an opportunity to go beyond traditional luxury and create an environment focused on lifestyle with themes of wellness, shared conversations and experiential activations.”

Connected by waterways, bike paths and pedestrian alleys that seamlessly link residences to the hotel, plaza and natural surroundings, The Slope is envisioned as a walkable mountain village. Throughout the community, the movement of water from internal ponds and Rock Creek, a tributary of the Provo River marking the site’s Western boundary, reinforces a calming, sensory connection to nature, while thoughtfully designed spaces foster conversation and connection. The development will also feature an architecturally striking year-round tubing hill alongside a curated mix of wellness amenities including an elevated pool deck, a next-generation fitness club focused on longevity and energy, as well as a collection of restaurants and shops spanning more than 100,000 square feet. Residents and guests will also have access to elite blue-ribbon fly fishing and exceptional skiing in the winter and mountain biking, scenic hiking trails, golf and boating in the warmer months. The Slope’s family-friendly programming and amenities ensure residents and guests of all ages will enjoy the property, making it a place where families gather, traditions grow, and wellness becomes part of everyday life.

“With a global portfolio of hotels, resorts, and branded residences, Andaz is a lifestyle brand that explores the intersection of global travel and local culture,” said Tina Necrason as Global Head of Branded Residential at Hyatt. “Andaz Heber Valley will include branded residential offerings within The Slope, marking a meaningful addition to the Andaz portfolio. By prioritizing physical and mental well-being, the project will offer residents the opportunity to invest in a globally sourced platform for health and longevity. It brings our signature approach to hospitality into daily life, combining private wellness spaces, curated social areas and the elevated lifestyle Andaz brand is known for.”

Blending iconic alpine architecture with warm, natural materials, the residences draw inspiration from the refined minimalism of Japan’s snow-covered lodges and the relaxed warmth of the Dolomites, bringing a more global, design-forward sensibility to Heber Valley. The two- and three-bedroom condos each will include floor-to-ceiling windows, expansive balconies and offer private elevators, dedicated amenities and a seamless connection to resort life, perfect for residents seeking hotel services and experiences at home. The four-bedroom multistory townhome villas will cater to families and second-home owners seeking elevated mountain living with spacious floorplans, high ceilings, natural finishes and a natural indoor-outdoor flow. All residences will offer effortless ownership with the option for short-term rentals through the hotel’s professional management program.

Setting itself apart from other residential offerings, the Andaz Heber Valley villas will be the only branded residences in Utah to feature private dry heat saunas and a hot tub on the rooftop deck of every residence. These in-residence features are part of a vision to transform the home into a personal wellness suite. From a morning heat session before hitting the slopes to an evening unwinding with a soak, residents will be offered a seamless experience of private recovery in addition to the expansive wellness offerings of the resort. Equally central to the experience is connection. Designed with the understanding that mountain living is often shared with friends and family, each residence incorporates kitchen banquettes and conversation pits, intentionally created to bring people together, spark conversation and create space for stories to unfold.

To further elevate the living experience, the residences will be thoughtfully appointed with a curated collection of design partners and materials that enhance both form and function. Wellness and spa experiences will be anchored by Symmetry Saunas, known for precision engineering and consistent, spa-quality heat, while Bullfrog Spas will enhance private rooftops. Bathrooms and kitchens will feature Gessi fixtures and Byredo fragrances, adding Italian craftsmanship and a refined sensory layer to everyday rituals. Kitchens will come equipped with Made In Cookware alongside Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances for professional-grade performance and precision. Each villa will be further distinguished by WE Studio’s design of custom furnishings, creating a cohesive and highly personalized interior, complemented by Anamese handcrafted pottery, triple-pane windows, and fully furnished turnkey delivery in two curated palettes (Ubac and Adret), with a furniture variance option. Several villas will be situated near Rock Creek or the community’s internal network of ponds, creating a strong connection to the surrounding natural landscape.

The project is being developed by Angstrom Development Group and built by Big-D Construction, with architectural design by Gomez Vazquez International (GVI) Architects and FFKR Architects. Additional partners include engineering by AWA Engineering and Helix Electric and interior design by WE studio.

Phase one of the development will include a collection of villa residences and is slated to deliver in 2027. Sales are being managed by Christie’s International Real Estate.
