VINEYARD, Utah — As the highly anticipated urban core of Utah County, Utah City, a 700-acre mixed-use development, is poised to have a pivotal year in 2026. Having recently debuted Bella’s Market to serve the earliest residents as well as the greater Vineyard area, Utah City is actively planning the launch of new amenities in the coming months to complement its first residential phase, which opened last year.

“Utah City is taking shape, and 2026 marks the first year that the community will increasingly experience the promise of this vibrant and walkable mixed-use development,” says Jacklyn Briggs, Director of Marketing for Utah City, which is situated between Utah Lake and the Wasatch Mountains. “Whether it’s the Utah City Racquet Club, the new Berliner Play Area, or Fini Pizza & Cafe, the celebrated pizza concept from New York, everything we are building is with the clear intention to promote wellness and social connectedness in an easily accessible cultural hub.

Below is a summary of the visionary, new offerings debuting in Utah City this year.

Berliner Park (April 18) – An all-abilities, movement-forward play destination anchored by Utah’s first and only hot air balloon-inspired structure from award-winning international play designers Berliner Seilfabrik Play Equipment Corporation will have its grand opening celebration for the community on Saturday, April 18. Berliner Park’s imaginative features promise to captivate kids and their parents for quality outdoor time that promotes movement and exploration. Reaching nearly 35 feet in height, the balloon offers a spectacular view from inside. Poised to become an iconic Utah City landmark, this is the first Berliner structure in the United States that lights up and will cast a warm glow across the shores of Utah Lake from its position on The Greenline, 12 acres of open space in the heart of Utah City. Additional park features include a ropes course, a large embankment slide, a variety of climbing components, and a splash pad.

Fini Pizza & Fini Café (Spring) – From Brooklyn to Utah City, Fini Pizza and its neighboring Fini Café are making their first foray outside of New York. The community-focused Fini Pizza concept recreates the classic NYC pizza shop experience, offering pizza by the slice or pie, salads, and Italian Ice. Next door, Fini Café is Utah City’s morning anchor serving premium, single-origin espresso along with pastries, savory treats, and light bites – this extension of home is a bright and welcoming way to start the day. The Fini brand is celebrated for its commitment to building community and being an authentic neighborhood partner. The brand’s founders look forward to bringing this culture to Utah City. First responders and teachers enjoy 25% off their orders. Kids who read three books in a month are treated to a free pie. They will also introduce Fini Hoops, a community basketball league that brings courts, culture, and connection to Utah City.

Fini Hoops (April) – Activated through a partnership with Fini Pizza’s Fini Hoops initiative, Fini Hoops will feature a fully custom court where community-focused clinics and leagues will play right outside of Fini Pizza. The Fini Hoops Invitational will mark the court’s debut in June.

Utah City Racquet Club (Spring) – Set to open this spring, the Utah City Racquet Club brings together three of the fastest-growing sports in the country—padel, tennis, and pickleball. The club’s outdoor courts are elevated in both programming and design, featuring shaded lounges and dedicated viewing areas. It will offer leagues, lessons, tournaments, and social events for players at all levels.

The Greenline Waterfront Park Phase One (Summer) – The Greenline is currently home to the central play area, the UC Sweat outdoor fitness classes, while also serving as a hub for year-round events and gatherings. The first phase of the Waterfront Park consists of greenery and landscaping, which will debut this summer. Subsequent additions to the Waterfront Park part of The Greenline include a large event amphitheater, wellness center, an expansive, off-leash dog park, sand volleyball courts, and a connection to Utah Lake.

Here Here Shops Phase One Retail (Fall) – Located at the heart of The Greenline, the Here Here is Utah City’s experiential retail village. This first phase of retail introduces a dynamic collection of 10 thoughtfully curated, intimate retail spaces anchored by a central restaurant that serves as the social and culinary centerpiece.

Designed to evolve with culture, the Here Here reimagines traditional retail. Each space is intentionally built for flexibility – hosting a rotating mix of partner brands, from pop-ups and limited runs to immersive brand houses that encourage discovery.

The result is a retail destination that is regularly refreshed and current, offering something unique to Utah’s retail landscape. The first brands will be announced in the coming months.

Corix District Energy – Utah City is establishing environmentally-friendly energy self-reliance by creating a scalable network for geothermal heating and cooling distributed to all buildings in the 700-acre master-planned development. Under its regulatory oversight, the Utah Public Service Commission (“PSC”) has approved Corix as a designated heat corporation, authorizing the company to provide both heating and cooling services within Utah. This first-of-its-kind decision establishes a new regulatory precedent, bridging innovation with energy constraint challenges and enabling the delivery of reliable, cost-effective heating and cooling. In addition to its use of geothermal technology. Utah City’s district energy leverages recycled waste heat to efficiently power residential and commercial buildings, creating a cost-effective solution that protects Utah’s beauty for generations to come

“As local developers creating a legacy-style urban core for our community, we have brought together nationally renowned visionaries in sustainability, walkable communities, architecture, and design,” said Nate Hutchinson, Managing Partner of Flagborough, the developer of Utah City. “A leading example of ambitious and purposeful, traditional urban planning, Utah City is being designed to fulfill a current need and with future generations in mind.”
