SALT LAKE CITY — Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum is unveiling a new UTA Transit Exhibit in partnership with Utah Transit Authority.

The interactive exhibit immerses children in the world of public transportation through hands-on experiences using real, repurposed bus components. Guests can take the wheel, explore how routes are designed, learn about careers at UTA, and discover how transit systems keep our city and state moving, connecting children to real-world systems in accessible and engaging ways.

“In partnership with UTA, we are transforming a complex public system into an experience children can see, touch, and understand,” said Kathleen Bodenlos, the Children’s Museum CEO. “This exhibit empowers them to explore how their community functions and where they fit within it.”
