SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Weilenmann School of Discovery (WSD) announces the launch of the new WSD PEAK Program for the 2026-27 academic year and beyond. The WSD PEAK (Performance, Engagement, Access, Knowledge) Program is an intentional academic pathway designed for students in Grades 4-8 who are pursuing high-level commitments in athletics, the arts, or specialized disciplines.
“Our vision for the PEAK Program is a hybrid schedule for Grades 4-8 with dedicated afternoon blocks for high-level training, while keeping core academics rigorous and protected,” explains Scott Stewart, WSD Executive Director. “It fills a real gap for students doing intensive training because now they won’t have to choose between a quality education with their peers and pursuing their deepest passions.”
WSD is a tuition-free K–8 public charter school located in Summit County. Known for its innovative approach to education, Weilenmann blends academic excellence with a strong emphasis on the arts, outdoor adventure, and community engagement.
The new WSD PEAK Program reimagines the traditional school day where high-quality education and elite training coexist, and students reach their PEAK without sacrificing their well-being or connection to their school community. The PEAK Program operates under an “Academics First” policy where students are held to high standards, ensuring that excellence in their chosen discipline is matched by achievement in the classroom.
Families interested in learning more about this specialized pathway for elite student athletes and performers are invited to a Town Hall on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the WSD campus, 4199 Kilby Road in Park City.
