HEBER VALLEY, Utah — The Heber Valley and Deer Valley East Village areas are gearing up for one of the most exciting winter seasons. With the much-anticipated expansion of Deer Valley East Village, new luxury lodging developments, culinary additions, and family-friendly seasonal activities across the valley, winter 2025–2026 promises to be unforgettable for visitors and locals alike.
Deer Valley East Village Expansion Opens New Terrain – This winter marks the next major milestone in Deer Valley Resort’s historic expansion, with the opening of new terrain and lifts in the Deer Valley East Village area. The latest additions include seven new chairlifts, among them the East Village Express and a new 10-passenger gondola connecting East Village to Park Peak. These lifts build upon the three introduced last winter and provide seamless access to nearly 100 new ski runs of varying difficulty levels, including the impressive 4.8-mile “Green Monster” ski run stretching from the top of Park Peak to the Deer Valley East Village base area.

Utah Outliers U-20 Tier II Junior Hockey Team – Adding to the region’s growing roster of winter attractions, the Utah Outliers, a U-20 Tier 2 Junior A team in the USPHL, will play its first season at the newly opened Black Rock Event Center at Black Rock Mountain Resort. This newly completed state-of-the-art facility features an NHL-standard ice surface, seating for 2,000 hockey fans, and additional amenities including a synthetic ice training area, three-story fitness center, and concert capacity for up to 3,300 attendees. The new arena offers locals and visitors a vibrant new venue for winter sports and entertainment.
Luxury Lodging and Spa Updates
The Slope, New Alpine Village – This visionary new luxury mountain village will be located along the Provo River in Heber City, just minutes from the new Deer Valley East Village. With a groundbreaking this fall 2025, the walkable, community-focused destination will feature an 86-key resort hotel, over 200 branded residences, and more than 100,000 square feet of retail and dining space.
