SALT LAKE CITY — On Oct. 2 when the Utah Mammoth host the Los Angeles Kings for NHL preseason action, Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) will welcome fans back to Delta Center for the first time since the arena transformation began in April 2025. In addition to revealing major structural changes completed during the first phase of the multi-year transformation process, Delta Center will introduce new food and beverage offerings, the latest Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth apparel and merchandise, and other updates and innovations designed to further enhance the fan environment at all games and events.

Completing Phase One of the Arena’s Transformation

The ground-up transformation of Delta Center began this offseason with key structural changes, including the installation of a one-of-a-kind riser seating system, custom designed for Delta Center, which improves sightlines and adds capacity for Mammoth games in the lower-bowl, while maintaining close-to-the-action seating at Jazz games. The retractable system accommodates a nearly 12-foot variance in elevation between rink and court endlines.

The bowl was also lengthened by 12 feet at each end and the event floor was raised two feet to create ideal sight lines and accommodate a new ice floor slab. This resulted in the removal of a wall on Level 3 and opening the space behind the end zone to the concourse, a temporary change that will be further adjusted in future phases of construction. Collective phase one innovations resulted in full unobstructed views for every lower-bowl seat and the addition of more than 1,100 new seats, for an official full view capacity of 12,478 seats for Mammoth games this season, with no significant change in seating capacity for Jazz games. Other major innovations completed in phase one include the complete remodel of Black Desert Club located on Level 2 and the start of construction on a 450-stall parking structure that is set to be completed prior to the 2026-27 season.

New Food and Beverage Highlights

This season there will be dozens of new food and beverage options available on all levels of the arena, including new menu items from popular Utah-based restaurants, and additional beer distribution stations along the Level 3 concourse. Some of the highlights among new team-themed items include:

  • The Jazz Note-shaped Banbury Cross Donuts and Mammoth Ice Cream Sundae debuting at Salt City Honey House, alongside new house-made pastries and waffle cones, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and candy
  • Salt Lake City-based Dangerous Pretzels arrives at the arena and will introduce a Mammoth-size pretzel along with a variety of other flavors
  • Proper Burger will offer the new Jazz Jam Burger, with onion jam and blue cheese; and the Hat Trick Burger, with American cheese, BBQ sauce, candied bacon, pickled jalapenos, and fried onion straws
  • Totally Nuts has crafted an all new Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth Almond Mix, and a Jazz Variety Mix with lemon cream almonds and cinnamon almonds
  • San Diablo Churros will introduce an all-new Tusks Up Churro flavor

In addition to these and other new and elevated fare, the popular, fan-friendly Mountain Menu remains available at all Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth home games. Items can be purchased at multiple convenient and easy-to-find locations on concourse Level 3 and Level 5.

Enhanced Retail and Guest Experience

In May 2025, SEG announced a partnership with Fanatics, which will power the omnichannel retail business, both e-commerce and in-venue, for both the Jazz and Mammoth. This season the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth will introduce new official team uniforms, which fans will be able to access first in the Team Store inside Delta Center, and on the new, enhanced shopping destinations for both teams. The partnership with Fanatics will also provide fans with access to the widest assortment of team gear from preeminent brands such as Fanatics, Nike, New Era, Mitchell & Ness, ’47, and WinCraft. Also new this year, American Express card holders will receive 10% off every in-person purchase they make at the Team Store inside Delta Center, per specific terms and conditions. To shop online for official team gear and the latest apparel, visit JazzTeamStore.com and MammothTeamStore.com.

To ensure every guest enjoys their experience inside the arena, signs and posters are no longer permitted inside Delta Center for Jazz games, Mammoth games, concerts and events, unless otherwise specified by a specific concert or event promoter. The arena’s guest experience team continues its personalized fan engagement efforts by offering staged photo opportunities and personalized to recognize select fan birthdays and milestones during all Jazz and Mammoth home games. Details on additional arena policies are available here.

Designated Ride Share Zone

A new ride share zone has been implemented outside the Delta Center plaza at the northwest corner of John Stockton Drive and 100 South, making it easier than ever to attend a game or event. In partnership with Lyft, the designated location for rideshare drop off and pick up zones will create a streamlined experience for passengers who use these services to attend a game or event. To kick off the partnership, Lyft is offering new users 50% off their first two rides to and/or from Delta Center for any Utah Jazz or Utah Mammoth game, concert, or event by using code DELTACENTER in the Lyft app.
