Salt Lake City — The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Utah Chapter is excited to announce its annual kick-off program featuring a fireside chat with former Utah Governor Michael O. Leavitt. This special event will take place on Thursday, September 19, at 5:30 PM MDT in downtown Salt Lake City. This event is an exceptional opportunity for private, public or nonprofit directors or those working closely with boards to learn from one of Utah’s most seasoned and influential figures.
Governor Leavitt, a recognized leader in public service, corporate governance, and politics, will share his insights on leadership and governance. With a distinguished career including serving as Utah’s governor for three terms and two cabinet positions under President George W. Bush, Leavitt continues to make an impact as chair of Intermountain Health and as a member of the board of directors for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Additionally, he serves as president of the Tabernacle Choir.
During this fireside chat, Leavitt will draw upon his experiences gained from a lifetime of leadership across public, business, and political arenas. Attendees will also hear exclusive insights from his recently published memoir, where he reflects on his personal history and public service.
Following the discussion, attendees are invited to join Governor Leavitt to tour the historic Salt Lake Tabernacle and a live rehearsal of the world-renowned Tabernacle Choir.
