What is your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of the job is being able to be part of the Latino family of Utah. I love the beautiful and vibrant culture they bring to Utah Valley. Every day, I am inspired by their resilience, warmth and rich traditions. This community’s spirit and strength drive me to do everything I can to ensure their success and well-being.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome to get where you are today?

The biggest challenge I’ve had to overcome to get where I am today is burnout. Leading an organization dedicated to serving the Hispanic and Latino community, especially through times of significant change and crisis, can be incredibly demanding. The work is deeply fulfilling, but it also comes with high emotional and physical demands.

Savannah Beth Withers Taylor is the assistant editor of Utah Business and a graduate of the editing and publishing program at Brigham Young University.
