As the Utah Mammoth are gearing up for their third season, Utah businesses are preparing to welcome excited fans to watch every game of the season, from the season opener against the Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 1 until April playoffs. Here are some spots where fans can meet up and cheer on the Mammoth this season:
A Bar Named Sue

These two Johnny Cash-themed bars go all out for the Mammoth and became a popular spot for Utah hockey fans last season. You’ll find all the standard pub fare, but the menu’s highlights include Philly nachos and cast iron chili. In between periods, you can squeeze in a round of darts or pool.
Beer Bar

If you missed out on the World Cup frenzy at Beer Bar, hockey season is your chance to get in on the action. Catch every Mammoth game on Beer Bar’s large projector screens while you try a cotton bottom garlic burger or share an enormous pretzel.
Big Willie’s Sports Bar and Grill

Big Willie’s wants to be the “ultimate watch destination for fans” this season, with watch parties for every game and special events throughout the season. Stay tuned for updates on these events on their social media account. The wings and bacon bleu cheese burger are local favorites, and don’t forget to take a pre-game photo in front of the giant Mammoth mural outside.
The Break Sports Grill

With five locations between Saratoga Springs and Salt Lake City, The Break is a great spot to watch Mammoth games with the entire family. Enjoy standard pub fare from wings to burgers or try one of several mac and cheese options, like birria or burnt ends. If you can’t pick, get the mac and cheese sampler.

Brickyard Bar in Millcreek is a great place to watch any of Utah’s teams, including the Mammoth. It’s a classic sports bar with plenty of fans there to focus on the game over jalapeno poppers and fried cheese curds. If your pet is a Mammoth fan too, Brickyard’s patio is dog-friendly and has TVs.
Legends Pub & Grill

With two locations owned by a local family of hockey fans, Legends is a great place to cheer on the Mammoth throughout the season with the whole family. Adults can order from an extensive menu while the kids menu comes complete with Mammoth-related activities. To go all out for the team, order the mammoth tusks: finger steaks served with fries and country gravy.

If you are a Mammoth fan north of Salt Lake City, head to The Pub Sports Bar in Layton — or a second location in Herriman for those in the southern Salt Lake Valley. With plenty of TVs and extensive food and drink menus, The Pub makes for a great spot to lock in for a long game. There is something on the menu to fit whatever mood you’re in, from a grown-up grilled cheese to chicken cordon bleu.

If you’re in southern Salt Lake County, check out Redemption in Herriman, where you can find every game on three floors of TVs, plus special watch parties throughout the season featuring giveaways and special menu items. Try out their flatbread pizzas and the Texas fudge cake for dessert.

SLC Puck! is a hockey podcast run by Utah local Austin Facer, which hosted monthly fan watch parties last season at bars, restaurants and even a bowling alley. Facer told Utah Business that SLC Puck! is gearing up to do the same this season. Follow SLC Puck! on social media to find out more details about monthly meetups as the season goes on. Last year, the November and December watch parties included food and clothing charity drives for the holidays.
