Edison House hosts first annual charitable gala to benefit three esteemed charities

Salt Lake City—Edison House, Salt Lake City’s premier private social club, will host the first annual “Illuminates Charitable Gala”, a night dedicated to philanthropy, community-building, and impact. Taking place throughout the three levels of the downtown social club, this event promises to be a memorable evening, celebrating the spirit of giving with the City’s most
influential figures.

For the first time since its opening in December of 2022, Edison House welcomes the public to share in an evening featuring unique and live entertainment, chef stations, and a silent auction throughout the clubhouse. All proceeds will benefit three exceptional local charities: Encircle, Project Embrace, and YWCA Utah.

These organizations were hand-selected for their impactful work in areas crucial to our community’s well-being by Edison House’s own member-led communities: Women’s, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ Member Clubs.

“As an Edison House member, I am so excited to be able to volunteer my time in supporting these amazing organizations and helping contribute to the creation of this inaugural gala event,” said Cidne Christensen, President of the Illuminates Club and gala organizer.

“Community is at the heart of what we do,” remarked George Cardon-Bystry, co-founder & CEO of Edison House. “This gala is not just an event, it’s an opportunity for us to bring people together in the spirit of giving and create positive impact in the Salt Lake community.”

The gala aims to not only raise substantial funds for the chosen charities but also to highlight the importance of community involvement and the significant impact that cooperative generosity can have.

“YWCA Utah is thrilled to partner with Edison House through the Illuminates Gala. This collaboration exemplifies the power of community and collective action in creating positive change. With the support of Edison House, YWCA Utah will uplift survivors, educate the next generation, and promote a more just and equitable world,” said Liz Owens, Executive Director of the YWCA of Utah.

Tickets are now available for purchase at the early bird pricing of $100 per person, with all proceeds directly benefiting the three charitable organizations. Ticket prices increase to $150 per person after March 1. Edison House members and non-members alike are encouraged to join for an extraordinary evening of giving back and celebration. Culture, philanthropy, and the joy of giving will converge in a beautiful setting – to purchase tickets, visit the Eventbrite listing.
