Was there a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today?

My pivotal moment was when I found myself in an “OK” job with an awesome company, but I did not see a path for growth nor really know what I wanted that path to look like. This was even scarier to me than not seeing the growth trajectory. That is when I decided to take a break from working and go back to school to get my MBA. I took time to dig deep and decide what it was I wanted my career to look like.

What is the most fulfilling part of the work you do?

I love working with and focusing on employees and company culture. Our company would not be doing what it’s doing without our employees, so the least we can do is give back to our employees and do our best to make sure they have a good experience. I love getting to chat with employees at company events/meetings and learn about what they’re doing in both work and their personal lives.

Who inspires you?

Simon Sinek. I think he has such an interesting and relevant perspective on the current workforce and the standards leaders in business should be holding themselves to. One of my favorite quotes from him is, “A great leader doesn’t only inspire us to have confidence in what they can do. A great leader inspires us to have confidence in what we can do.”
