Madi Hopkins
Owner & Operator | Salt Lake Pottery Studio
Madi Hopkins’ passion for pottery is now a thriving community hub. As founder of Salt Lake Pottery Studio in the 9th & 9th district, she’s created more than a place for ceramics — it’s a “third place” where people forge meaningful connections beyond home and work.
“The Salt Lake Pottery Studio has become more than just a place for pottery classes — it’s a vibrant community where artists of all ages and skill levels come together to learn, create and support each other,” she says.
Madi’s strategic approach includes diversifying revenue through workshops, private events and after-school programs. She provides free shelf space for local artists to display and sell work, creating economic opportunities for Utah’s creative community.
“The next big project for me is the opening of the art café in Salt Lake City,” she says. “The café will provide a unique venue for artists to showcase their work, offer art classes and allow people to connect with art in a relaxed, welcoming environment.”
