Since Felecia Maxfield-Barrett became CEO of Utah Global Diplomacy in 2016, Utah has been recognized by the U.S. State Department as the “gold standard” for diplomatic hosting and fostering global diplomacy. Under her leadership, the organization hosted 35 delegations from 120 countries in the past year alone, generating $2 million in economic impact and creating 10,000 person-to-person connections through 725 strategic engagements.
Utah Global Diplomacy has significantly expanded its program offering, reach and revenue. In 2023 and 2024, Felecia procured over $350,000 in additional funding to enhance program services throughout Utah. Since 2020, the organization has doubled its staff count to service the growing need and urgency in global diplomacy.
Felecia’s next ambitious goal is launching the Utah Peace & Diplomacy Center — a dedicated, physical space where global thinking meets local action.
