Salt Lake City— To combat the crushing impact of COVID-19, assist in the recovery of Salt Lake’s visitor economy and adapting to the ever-changing dynamics of hosting meetings, conventions and events, Visit Salt Lake (VSL) recently announced the selection of Cornerstone and Modern Expo & Events to design, build and procure the necessary equipment for its new Visit Salt Lake Broadcast Center.

The VSL Broadcast Center will be located in the Visitor’s Center of the Salt Palace Convention Center and is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2021. The Broadcast Center is being designed as a multifaceted facility to support not only VSL’s efforts in the critical and competitive meeting, convention and event space but also enhance the distribution of its messaging and that of its members and stakeholders.

Understanding that meetings and conventions will be presented as hybrid events for the foreseeable future, VSL is addressing those needs and pivoting in that direction in order to retain and enhance its standing within this industry that has proven so vital to Salt Lake’s visitor economy. It is a critical time to not only meet the ever-evolving requirements of the meeting professionals with which VSL works, but to confirm it is innovative and adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the industry.
