Utah STEM Action Center brings STEM Fest back in person Sept 27 – 28

Sandy — Thousands of students will dive into hands-on STEM experiences at the 8th annual Utah STEM Fest at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy. The STEM Action Center hosts STEM Fest with support from more than 60 STEM-related organizations and exhibiting sponsors including US Synthetic, META, Dominion Energy, and Space Force.

STEM Fest is a hands-on showcase of applied science and technology projects that spark children’s interests in STEM career opportunities. Some of the highlights include InfiniD Labs’ spaceship simulator, an A-10 training cockpit from Hill Air Force Base, Virtual Reality with META, an official NASA trailer with space artifacts, and an escape room from Alcatraz.

The two-day event draws over 11,000 students from schools statewide. There is a free night for the public on September 27 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. We invite the media to cover STEM Fest either during field trip hours or the free public night.
