The Store celebrates 1st birthday with daily specials @ The Gateway

Salt Lake City— The Store is celebrating its first birthday at The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City with a week of specials to show appreciation for their customers. From Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4, offerings include discounted meals and treats at the specialty food shop renowned for its customer service and supporting a vast array of local food purveyors by carrying their fine products.

“It has been a wonderful first year of servicing the The Gateway and downtown Salt Lake City with our gourmet food products while also offering essential items and delivery since the pandemic began in the spring,” says Scotty Niederhauser, owner of The Store. “We know these are difficult times for many, so we hope these food specials are a way to not just express gratitude to our customers, but to also help them out with our birthday specials.”

Daily Specials are as follows:

Monday, Aug. 31 – Buy 1 hot/cold coffee, get 1 free donut

Tuesday, Sept. 1 – Buy 1 hot bar sandwich, get a free small bag of Pioneer Chips

Wednesday, Sept. 2 – Buy a $5 sushi roll, get a free 32 oz drink

Thursday, Sept. 3 – Buy any size Leatherby’s ice cream cone, get a 2nd cone free

Friday, Sept. 4 – The Grand Finale. The Store’s signature wood fired pizza oven will be outside during lunch (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) with live music. 1280 The Zone will broadcast live.

“We’re proud to have a local grocer that provides a much-needed amenity for those living and working downtown to walk or bike to,” says Jacklyn Briggs, Marketing Director of The Gateway. “They’ve adapted quickly to offer pick up and online ordering to make shopping locally even more accessible while supporting other local businesses by selling their products.”
