Salt Lake City — The Dough Miner opened its first kitchen and welcomes friends, neighbors, locals, and visitors to their Salt Lake location to try their unique and famous pasties (pronounced “pass-tees").

“We are so excited to bring pasties back to Salt Lake City!" says Ken Roderman – Owner of The Dough Miner. “My daughter-in-law, Marissa, and I have been crafting these in hopes guests will stop in, get a pasty and coffee, and head to work or up the mountains." The Dough Miner family expects to grow their business throughout the valley with more stores and even a food truck for events. Marissa, Manager of The Dough Miner, says, “Our vision was to bring our version of pasties to the city we love and create a community that visits often and is excited to try our latest edibles – that includes our current Funeral Potato pasty made with hash potatoes, onions, and a buttery cheese sauce."

The Dough Miner, which was recently featured in the Salt Lake Tribune, is excited for their official Grand Opening event on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, from 8:00am – 3:00pm, where guests have a chance to win prizes, taste delicious pasties, and enjoy what Ken and Marissa have been working on.
