Lehi— The 2022 Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival, originally scheduled from April 8 to May 7, is now extended to May 14, 2022. Thanksgiving Point’s decision was made due to the event’s popularity and to highlight the bulbs that bloom in the late spring.
The 2022 Tulip Festival is Thanksgiving Point’s 18th annual spring celebration, featuring nearly 300,000 tulips imported from the Netherlands. As the only Tulip Festival of its size in the Rocky Mountain region, the Tulip Festival hosts over 140,000 guests every year from around the world and is known as one of the best tulip festivals in the nation.
The Tulip Festival will be extended to May 14, 2022 and will be open in the Ashton Gardens from 9 am to 8 pm, Monday through Saturday. On the weekend (May 13 and May 14), events will include live entertainment, a vendor market, and food trucks. The Ashton Gardens are located at 3900 N. Garden Drive in Lehi, Utah.
The Single Late variety tulip blooms are the showiest of Thanksgiving Point’s garden design and will be blooming in early-mid May. These tulips are typically taller and boast some of the best color combinations. Some popular Single Late tulips include the Blushing Lady (a sunset soft rosy pink, blending to a soft yellow) and the El Niño (a vibrant orange and amber resembling flickering firelight).
The Tulip Festival is a time-ticketed event and guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance by visiting the Thanksgiving Point website at thanksgivingpoint.org. Tickets from Monday, May 9 to Saturday, May 14 are $17 for children (ages 3-12), $19 for youth (ages 13-24), $21 for seniors (ages 65+), and $24 for adults. Thanksgiving Point members receive free admission to the Tulip Festival during this extended week, including Friday and Saturday.
