Utah State Parks and Tentrr announce new partnership

Salt Lake City— Utah State Parks and Tentrr have announced an exciting new partnership to increase accessibility and camping options throughout Utah’s treasured state parks. With the new partnership Tentrr, a venture-backed camping and outdoors startup, will install nearly fifty of its signature sites in Fred Hayes at Starvation, Steinaker, Red Fleet, East Canyon, and Wasatch Mountain State Parks.

With Tentrr’s fully-equipped sites, Utah State Parks is hoping to lower the barrier of entry for first-time campers who may be turned off by setting up a tent and sleeping on the ground or unwilling to invest in the necessary equipment. Additionally, through the new partnership, Utah State Parks is hoping to attract first-time visitors to its parks who have traditionally been more interested in staying at a hotel.

Each Tentrr site is secluded and comes fully-equipped with a canvas wall tent on a raised platform, queen-size bed frame, topped with a memory foam mattress, a heater, Adirondack chairs, fire pit, grill, picnic table with storage, benches, sun shower, and camp toilet.

Mike Long, Concessions Program Manager at Utah State Parks said“Here in Utah’s state parks, we have been looking for additional camping options for our park visitors. We are excited to now be able to offer Tentrr’s furnished wall tents as an additional lodging option at some of our parks.”

Anand Subramanian, CEO of Tentrr said, “Tentrr is thrilled about this new and exciting partnership. It will become the model for public and private partnerships going forward in state and national park systems. We will continue our mission of helping more people get out and enjoy the great outdoors and explore the natural beauty throughout Utah.”

Individual site locations won’t be released until the start of the camping season in May, stated Subramanian, “Every location we selected highlights Utah’s beauty with close proximity to fantastic hiking trails and places for campers to swim so they could truly enjoy the best of Utah. In addition, people in Utah can start booking right now for trips starting in May by going to https://www.tentrr.com/state-parks/utah
