Sundt Foundation donates to local charities
Salt Lake City— The Sundt Foundation awarded $7,000 to three Salt Lake City nonprofits during its first-quarter disbursements.
“Watching the Sundt Foundation’s contributions grow within the community is very rewarding,” says Dustin Murphy, Sundt Foundation board member. “We hope to continue to give back to more organizations as we increase our presence here in the Salt Lake area.”
The Sundt Foundation awards grants quarterly to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.
First-quarter grants include:
Utah Youth Village, which received $2,500, owns and operates three homes for struggling children in the Salt Lake area. Most of these children are in custody of the state and have experienced severe abuse and neglect.
The Sharing Place received $2,500 to support services that provide grief support to children and their families.
The Smiles for Everyone Foundation, which received $2,000, provides dental services and education to homeless and impoverished individuals in the Salt Lake area.
